Pastoral Support is provided by the Deputy Principal (Pastoral Care) who carries the overall responsibility for the quality of Pastoral Care within the school. This is achieved by constantly consulting with the Grade Leaders and reviewing processes, ensuring that the Pastoral Policy is clear and correctly implemented; that individuals matter, where each pupil is known and that there is sufficient staff to support them.
In particular, and of key importance, is the quality of interaction between teacher and pupil and the creation of a Pastoral Care Programme. A Pastoral Care Programme is based on a caring community and environment that recognises the rights of every pupil to be treated with dignity, respect, tolerance and understanding.
